Supporting our SEND students

Supporting our SEND students

North Birmingham Academy has always had a culture of high expectations for all students.  We are proud to welcome students of all abilities – and from a range different backgrounds and cultures – with the aim of ensuring that they progress as far as possible during their time at our academy both academically and pastorally.

Higher Quality Teaching lies at the heart of Teaching and Learning at North Birmingham Academy, as it helps us ensure that all learners – regardless of ability – can thrive at our academy. Our ambition for all students is that they will be able to develop their skills and talents in as many areas as possible with the help of our dynamic and committed staff, thus enabling them to enjoy academy life.

The North Birmingham Academy SEND team works tirelessly to ensure that all learners with SEND have bespoke access to a broad and balanced curriculum in order to learn, thus achieve, in line with their non-SEND peers.  We provide every opportunity to develop their abilities so that they are fully prepared for life beyond North Birmingham Academy.

If you have any questions about your child’s learning needs or about SEND provision at our academy, then please contact the SENDCo or Deputy SENDCo, as they will be happy to support you and your child.
