Our Ambassadors

E-ACT AMBASSADORS

Our Ambassador Team is made up of parents and community members who share a passion for supporting and working with the academy.

This is an exciting and unique role at the heart of our academy. Ambassadors collaborate, network and forge links with the local community to inspire students to raise their aspirations.

Working closely with the headteacher and supported by the national governance team and trustees, ambassadors also support our community hub to ensure children are getting the support they need at home.

Led by a chairperson, ambassador teams meet a minimum of once per term, and have at least two parent ambassadors. They play a vital role in sharing parents’, students’ and the community’s voice with the trustees.

On occasion, ambassadors may also be invited to sit on complaint hearings and hearings for permanent exclusions.

If you would like to become an ambassador, please contact the headteacher, Jo Paddock, at Jo.Paddock@nba.e-act.org.uk, register your interest by completing this form. You can also contact the national governance team for further information at governance@E-ACT.org.uk

Meet the Ambassadors

Errol Lawson Errol Lawson Community Ambassador

In my misspent youth my life was ruled by gangs, crimes and drugs.  As an adult I have become a successful entrepreneur, author, ordained minister and motivational speaker.  I aim to inspire young people, leaders and business owners to be courageous, aim high, achieve and actively make an impact on their community.  Outside of work I am the doting dad of two little girls and have made the Birmingham Post’s ‘Power 250’ list as “One of the most powerful and influential people in the Midlands”.

Sanjay Brown Sanjay Brown Parent Ambassador

I am a devoted mother, wife and confidant who is driven and focused to achieve at the highest levels possible. I am a keen listener, encourager and motivator who treats others with respect and in the way, I would like to be treated. My aspirations are to be the best that I can be and where possible assist others also, in fulfilling their God given gifts, talents and full potential.

Rebecca Leavey Rebecca Leavey Parent Ambassador

I have worked in education for over 20 years and am currently a Deputy Head Teacher in a primary school, working with amazing children and staff. Working within a team is a strength of mine, as well as being organised, dedicated and passionate in whatever I do.

As a Mum to two, I want the right education and opportunities for my children to have high aspirations and enable them to achieve their potential.

I have been working with and supporting young people for nearly 15 years both in and out of schools. I have lived in North Birmingham for all of my life and am keen to see children receive all the opportunities that an education can open up for them.

My day-to-day life involves working for a brilliant local charity in Erdington, studying for a degree and coaching and playing netball.  I’m excited to see the positive change that we, as an ambassador team, can make!
